Eating for Energy

Cinnamon Banana Smoothie

This smoothie tastes so good. I’ll leave at that. Well ok maybe not. The bananas provide a great source of carbohydrates and electrolytes and the cinnamon acts to moderate their consequent effect on your blood sugar. Great for a pre- and post-workout snack.

Serves 1 to 2

2 bananas
1 ½ cups of almond milk
2 tbsp agave nectar
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
pinch of sea salt
a few ice cubes (optional)

1. Blend all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
