James Schepmyre, BA (Honours) minor in Psychology
Personal Trainer

James Schepmyre’s fitness philosophy is simple, “Have fun and eat foods as natural as possible.” Rather than prescribing before diagnosing, James designs fitness programs that cater to the individual needs and interests of his clients.

A certified personal trainer with over 15 years of experience, James has worked for The Sports Clubs of Canada (Yonge & Bloor), a high level fitness facility that many consider the best gym in Toronto.

James’ love for health and fitness comes from his passion for sports. He has played semi-competitive soccer, basketball and beach volleyball. In addition to his martial arts background (Tae Kwon Do, Maui Thai, Kick Boxing and Ninjitsu), James was the also the Assistant coach of the BMA (Brampton Minor Basketball Association) league champions (8-10 year old boys) in 2003.

His training specialties include fat loss, weight reduction, muscle strengthening and muscle building. Presently a student practitioner in Holistic Nutrition at the CSNN (Canadian School of Natural Nutrition), James is also capable of developing high quality nutrition programs. He believes that even though exercise is a critical component of achieving your ideal body weight, proper nutrition is more than fifty percent of the battle.

Professionally, in addition to his personal training experience, James has over 5 years of corporate sales experience with one of the largest food companies in the world.
